On the one hand, application integration is a service that is based on the IT strategy, involving the tasks pertaining to its detailed analysis, planning, risk management, resource planning, and implementation. On the other hand, application integration means integrating applications that were developed at different times using different methods in a way that business process support and system operation can be provided at the level of the integrated systems without replacing the tried and tested applications.
