For some businesses, performing work requires viewing and checking a lot of different documents. If there are a large number of documents, managing and viewing them may become cumbersome, which slows down the pace of work significantly. Areas such as these include managing and approving mortgage loans or checking the value of real estate. When analyzing the data centrally, supervisors base their decisions partly on the documents necessary for or generated during assessment. Supervision requires checking and assessing a large number of data and images, which require opening different applications and displaying a large amount of information simultaneously on the screen in a way that it is transparent. One monitor is usually not enough to do so, so supervisors usually work with dual-head workstations, with one monitor showing data recorded by the assessor and the other the related documents.
Competitiveness requires serving customers as fast as possible, which in this case means performing the assessment and deciding whether to approve the loan in the shortest time possible. This can be achieved by simplifying and shortening the back-end processes and by eliminating unnecessary steps. It is very impractical to have skilled professionals spend time on easy-to-automate routine tasks because it reduces their performance. The solution Using our solution, supervisors can focus on their main job. To support their work, the documents are scanned and then displayed by a custom solution. With the help of this solution, the various documents can be displayed on the monitor in a predefined place, in a size optimized to the nature of the information, in a thin client application.Displaying the documents can be performed automatically (when a task is opened, all preset document types are also opened) or by selecting the documents to be opened manually. With this solution, the documents related to the property (e.g., proprietorship register, sales contract, photos, and block plan) are automatically arranged on the preset monitor when the control process starts. Supervisors can display data from the value assessment and the related images and documents at the same time, and if needed, they also can open additional files. Once the task is completed, the open documents automatically close. Technical characteristics The solution is based on a special ActiveX browser plug-in and display profiles assigned to the users. Based on the document identifier and the profile settings, the plug-in downloads the document to be viewed from the content server and displays it in the predefined place and size using applications integrated into the browser (MSWord, MSExcel, Adobe Reader, TIFF viewer, etc.). In the profile, it is possible to configure on which monitor the various document types should be displayed (primary or secondary), where on the monitors they should appear (aligned right vs. left and top vs. bottom), and in what size they should be displayed (full, half, or quarter screen or specific size). Property assessment usually requires viewing a large number of photos, the viewing and management of which is usually a problem. To solve this problem, an image viewer component was also developed. Results With the help of the Creative 4U solution, recurring tasks have been automated, and therefore document management has become easier, faster, more convenient, and thereby less prone to errors. Therefore, the efficiency of the supervisors has significantly increased and loan assessment is faster; as a result, the bank has become more successful, has achieved better results, and has had more satisfied customers. This solution can be successfully applied in all places where a lot of information and images need to be displayed and viewed at the same time, for example, at the customer service of service provider companies (mobile operators, Internet service providers, financial institutes, health funds, etc.).
