| SAP Basis Support |

SAP Basis, which is replaced by Web Application Server in newer versions, literally forms the basis of SAP systems. In the base system, SAP applications are run by an ABAP / Java (J2EE) ‘engine’ and application data are stored in a database, which can be accessed either via the built-in database manager of SAP or via an external database manager. Implementation and administration of the SAP application environment are the core activities of the basis support service. This includes installing the SAP system on various server architectures, operating systems and databases as well as supporting and upgrading systems and performing migration tasks when aging computer hardware is replaced. The basis activities include further services, which are not necessary for the operation of the base system but provide various auxiliary services for SAP applications. SAP administration, SAP basis and technical support during version changes and migration projects, and other support services are carried out by our qualified (SAP-certified) professionals. The basis services include the following core activities:
Further basis services:
It is possible that the subsequent step within a workflow will be executed by a user outside the SAP system, for example, someone who has only e-mail access (e.g., the legal department approving a contract). In order to realize effective and control work management, these external users must also be integrated into the automated communication process. Sales orders are frequently sent to the company by fax, and often the fastest and most secure way of sending outgoing business documents (order confirmations, contracts, delivery notes, notifications, etc.) is also via fax. Using low-cost text messaging is the most useful method for sending short and compact information en masse (payment reminders, alerts and notifications, workflow reminders, marketing news, etc.) and for location-independent information queries. Therefore, integrating the messaging systems successfully is a very real challenge for companies using SAP.
If you are looking for a partner to unify your communication infrastructure and your SAP system, call us. We have successfully integrated messaging services and solutions into the ERP system in middle and large-scale enterprise environments. Taking faxes as an example, we know how to configure the necessary RFC connection, to set the proper character set, and the PCL5 printing method, and we know how to integrate communication-related development into the enterprise business processes. We have experience with interfacing several messaging systems (such as Topcall, Rightfax, etc.) into SAP environments and connecting SAP and enterprise e-mail systems (MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise). We will support and consult you on ways in which you can decrease your telecommunication and human resource costs by applying a unified communication solution, while at the same time increasing efficiency and guaranteeing that you can trace, administer, and retrieve your messages.
